Just a quickie to say a big thankyou all! I've been lurking and learning for over a week now and we brought home our 10 wk Lab Cross, 'Lil' home on saturday. Your words of wisdom and advice have stood us in great stead in these early days and she's doing grand. So thankyou and i'm sure i'll be begging for help at some point!!

Im sure they'll be more along shortly demanding pictures of the pup! Grin

Welcome to the doghouse! Just bear in mind that you won't always get the advice and support you need from everyone. There are a minority who like to put the boot in, for their own amusement... Usually common sense prevails. Overall this forum has been useful, but it's sometimes a bit 'bumpy'.

GobHoblin · 30/05/2012 12:57

I can cope with bumpy!! :oD

OH.MY.GOD. What a gorgeous pup! She's SO sweet . How is she settling in?

Welcome to the doghouse. 'Bumpy' is just about right; the doghouse attracts lots of passionate souls but it's super fun and the advice and top tips from experts and other crazy dog people has been invaluable to me too Smile.

Hi GobHoblin. As you've probably already found, the Doghouse can make you laugh, cry, shake your fist and go 'awwww' in equal measure.

And I"m definitely saying 'aww' right now - your puppy is absolutely gorgeous!! Congratulations on the new addition and I hope you have lots of fun with her :)

Be-you-ti-full puppy GobHoblin

I can see the Lab part, what's she crossed with?

GobHoblin · 30/05/2012 21:45

Thanks for the hellos! She's a rescue pup from rspca, they think crossed with Collie, but they werent 100% sure.
She's settled in amazingly! Not had any toilet accidents for over 24 hours now, and she's taken well to her crate and although she doesnt go in of her own accord yet, she is settled after a minute of grumbling. The kongs definately help!
My husband is a keen amateur photographer, so he's loving having a new subject for photoshoots!

She's gorgeous- and looks very like my dog, lab crossed with collie. You are in for lots of fun!

MiseryBusiness · 31/05/2012 09:06
