Echtcat had to be put to sleep recently (posted on Litter Tray), and it was always our intention to get another cat. We'll wait until the June/July end of semester holiday, so I can supervise the kitten's settling in.
The kitten will sleep in the laundry, away from the dog, as did echtcat.
Echtdog loved echtcat; he's friendly, but I notice he would love to chase non-resident cats. I doubt if he'd harm as he's first generation retriever, and can only hold - though that might just be birds!
