Hi I have a year old lurcher x springer bitch she is eating great etc etc all perfect. The other day I noticed she has a tiny max 1cm bald patch on her shin, not bothering her in the least. Just wondering if anyone had any ideas what this could be? I called the vet-I know I just felt I should check;)- and they said not to even bother bringing her in as she is fine told me I was overreacting which I am smiling but she's my best friend. So I thought I would ask the lovely ladies at mumsnet if they had any ideas? Thanks

She could have bashed herself, or chewed something off herself. Make sure all your worming and flea treatment is up to date and don't give her crap treats!

Thank you for replying yeah I thought she may have been bitten. Her worm and flea stuff is all up to date.

Mange? Has she any other patches on elbows and face? Are you using a spot on treatment that covers mange as well as fleas? If you are in an area with foxes she could have picked it up from the grass.

there is only this one tiny spot. The treatment covers everything as we are in a very open area with all kinda wildlife. Doesn't appear to be itching or bothering her I only noticed when we were practicing lifting her paws on command.
