Dry Skin

Dogface has suddenly got very dry, flaky skin....I'm wondering how I can make this better, she isn't particularly itchy but is moulting. I gave her some raw salmon with skin last night in the hope that the omega 3 would help.
Any advice?

Mine gets a bit scurfy when he's moulting as well. I just groom him well every day. Obviously it could be something else entirely so hopefully someone else will have some ideas.

Most likely just because she's moulting. Groom her daily til the shedding is complete.

I give mine omega 3 and vitamin e capsules daily to promote healthy skin and coat but they can still get a bit scurfy when moulting.

Thanks both, this is my first dog, apart from when I was a child, so I'm a little clueless. I've never seen so much hair!! We are grooming her daily and hoovering twice daily! She seems less flaky this past day or so, poor thing looked like she'd been sprinkled with flour at the weekend.

Giving her a bath will help to loosen up any dead fur and speed up the process of getting rid of it.

Yumega plus is a supplement and iv found it amazing. It's made by a company called lintbells and it's full of omegas and lots of other skin supporting ingredients. Can't reccomend it enough.
