We picked an insect off the dog today and managed to kill it. It's quite big, black and had a hard carapace - we had to squash it between fingernails to kill it. I've saved its carcase to show the vet tomorrow, but would appreciate any thoughts. He only recently had the flea treament given to us by the vet, so a bit 
why he's got bugs at all.
