Our dog eats grass

every single time we go out. occasionally (approx 4 times in the past 2 motnhs) he starts making this sort of retching noise then brings the grass back up again,and bile like stuff thats ayellow colour. he's fine in every other way, eating drinking pooing weeing well etc, lively as ever. He did it again today, then promplty went staright back to trying to eat a bit of grass again.

My Westie does this from time to time. My Mum always used to say that our dogs did it when they had a poorly tummy or had swallowed something dodgy because grass is an emetic and helps them to feel better. I do think it's normal for dogs to eat a bit of roughage to keep things regular. I'd be worried if she was throwing up on every walk though; they can get dehydrated really easily. I'd check with your vet if you're worried.
