Poo-ey patio. Safe & easy way to clean for toddler?

Right. My elderly pooch is well used to pooing where he likes all over our patio, safe in the knowledge that one of us will be along soon with a poo bag and clear it up. But obviously this method often leaves skiddies, and with a toddler wanting to roam freely I need to find a quick, safe and easy way of keeping the patio clean and as germ free as possible.

Any handy hints you would care to share? Smile

High pressure hose?

CutMyEggs · 29/04/2012 10:28

Ooh that's illegal round these parts bonzo Wink
I do hose the patio down but am thinking more of a day to day, shit by shit sort of solution.... Like bleach in a squirty bottle? But then that's dangerous too....

Watering can?

SpaghettiTwirlerAndProud · 29/04/2012 11:01

And then a scrub with a yard brush?

Catsmamma · 29/04/2012 11:03

We pressure wash about once a month, and watering can with water/zoflora over busywhizzes and after busyjob pick up!

Zoflora is pet safe when dry, so i presume it'd be fine for toddlers.

We also have a hosey brush thing in the event of squelchy whippy jobs.

I always pick it up in a bag then pour a bit of disinfectant down (supermarket pine scented cheap stuff) then a quick scrub with a hard bristled broom and quick rinse with hose or bucket, takes 2 minutes max!

Thanks poomates, good ideas. Think I need to keep a bristly brush and some cheap disinfectant to hand. And cut down the treats to avoid the sloppies!
