1st season??

Am wondering if my golden retriever is in season. She's the right age (10 months) and was noticeably quieter earlier in the week. Different smell to her too. No spots of blood anywhere though, so am not sure. But she's constantly licking herself. Is it possible she's licking herself clean?

Yes, our young bitch had her first season in January and was licking few days before the bleeding. We were expecting it and were watching for signs. She was very very clingy and quiet for first week, then a bit flirty and then quite normal again. Didn't take any changes of other dogs bothering her, walked her early morning, late night in dog free areas. Then mega bath and groom when it was over.. suppose it won't be long until the next one..
