He's had enough!!!

Bailey, my calm, gentle lab cross finally had enough of Koda (NSDTR) today and bit back!!!

Koda is nearly 1 and thinks he is top dog. Will growl at Bailey (8) and cats if they should dare to go near his food when he's eating. I always tell him off for that. If Bailey has a toy, Koda will try and take it. Bailey does seem to wind Koda up though because he doesn't usually play with the toys.

Today my friend came round and bought them both a dog treat. They sat and took the nicely and went outside. Koda ate his up on the decking and Bailey took his onto the grass. I then heard a lot of growling and snarling and realised Koda had probably tried to get Bailey's after eating his own.

Called Koda and he has a small nick on his tongue and his chin, so I can only assume Bailey told him where to go.

I am hoping this might make him think twice and realise Bailey isn't quite the pushover he thinks he is!

that's great but what is NSDTR?!

twojues · 12/04/2012 18:23

Lol, right you asked. NSDTR is a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever.

Whenever I tell people what Koda is a get a "What?!". He's very cute, but a bit of a pickle. I'm hoping he has learnt a very important lesson today.

The cut on his tongue looks quite deep, but isn't bleeding. I'm not sure it was done bu Bailey or Koda's own teeth. I just need to keep an eye on it to make sure it doesn't get infected.

Glad it wasn't worse as he's been entered in to a dog show next Wednesday.
