I posted last week our 2.5 year old Doodle had been diangnosed with kdney disease. Since then she has been admitted to the Liverpool University Small Animal Hospital and they are almost positive that its Addisons Disease. The hospital is wonderful, and the staff are amazing :)

She has started medication and they are putting together a care plan. She should hopefully lead a relatively normal life.

We are so relieved that it isnt kidney disease.

Has anyone's dog got Addisons? What would you advise?

Sorry to hear about your dog, I don't know if you belong to any of the labradoodle forums but if you join The UK Labradoodle association (sorry for lack of link I'm on my phone) and post a thread re Addisons you will be put in touch with other members who have experience of the disease and can help you.

So pleased to hear that it is not kidney disease.
Addisons can be managed with medication.
Please inform the breeder of your dog,as its parents and offspring should not be used for breeding in the future.

Thanks Bobby,

We are so relieved, we can hopefully bring her home today :)

I have already emailed the breeder.
