AIBU to be FAR more excited about Hairy Dog's haircut than when I get mine done?

Rather than schlep to the groomer, I've got a Lady With A Van to come and wash/groom her.

She is long overdue TBH - she resembles a mobile mop (imagine a light brown Dulux dog in full coat) and it's time for her Spring haircut.

Actually wondering what colour she'll be, since her hair is darker at the ends. She was brown when I got her but she's getting lighter with age.

Probably similar the ridiculous amount if pride I felt when he cocked his leg up into a bush this morning. It was like watching my DCs take their first steps.

Thank God it will grow again! I asked for her to be left about an inch all over and it's far shorter than that. Also, it's not that even along her back and sides. She's got tufts.

I think I'll be taking the younger dog to the groomer we usually use!
