Worms!!

Does anyone have any experience they can share with me?

I have just (Monday lunchtime) given my 12 week old puppy a worming tablet. He started passing stools with many, many, many worms in on Tuesday, and they are still coming.

Will the one dose he had have got rid of them all completely? or should I contact the vet to see if he needs some more before the month is out? I am sooooo surprised at the amount coming out of such a tiny body :(

Thank you

No, he'll still have worms. The vet will probs give a 4-5 day course of good worming treatment.

All puppies come with worms they get them from across the placenta and in their mothers milk. It is important that you worm pups monthly with a prescription product (maybe 5 day course though can be one tablet per month) until your puppy is 6 months old.
