An oldie but a goodie...indestuctible dog toys

Jasper is a demon. He can demolish most toys within minutes. Then sits there looking at all the pieces with a sad face on. I must have wasted £30 in the last few months on toys. So, please recommend me some seriously tough toys. He has a red kong which I stuff, and some rope type tug toys which are fine. He likes soft toys, but just destuffs them all over the place and tries to eat the fluff Hmm Plastic, squeaky toys get shredded. Any other ideas? He has just beheaded his destuffed meerkat, and is very sad about it all.

Just ordered him a stag bar as I've heard Good Things. It might stop him turning everything else in to confetti.

Chickens - I've been recommended these websites for strong dog toys (used by agility pros for instance - so I haven't bought anything for my 4 month old cavalier yet!):

www.agilitywarehouse.com

www.tug-e-nuff.co.uk

www.bungeedogs.com

Good luck in your search Smile

Kong are best as you know. Floating (blue) Kong on a rope good for throwing/fetch.

Have a nylon (not plastic) floating frisbee that wheels along the ground if thrown in garden.

We got a hard ball so big he couldn't get his jaws round it Grin.

Our boy dog is the same- anything he gets in ripped apart in minutes if we do not supervise play time. He's very into hard plastic chews and will spend hours contentedly chewing. Our stuffing-less racoon is still in one piece and he's had that since christmas.
One thing I got for both dogs that they love and go mental for are the Kong wobbler- it's a giant weeble that you put treats in- because the base is full of beads/beans its sounds like there are treats in there even when there aren't any! Keeps them busy for hours- and it's pretty indestuctible.

Warning: makes our girl dog imit weird/delighted bird-monkey noises Grin

Thanks all. Loving the weird bird-monkey noises Grin I have got Jasper a Kong Wubba, a soft toy that instead of stuffing has a plastic water bottle in it (tres noisy, that one), a marrow filled nylabone (which is also bloody noisy while it ricochets around the floors) and a stuffingless soft wolf thing. They are all still standing 48 hours in. He has, however, shredded his bed cushion. Nice.

I wish we could record the bird-monkey noises, I think it would make an effective alarm and any intruders would think twice about going into a house with an animal that made that noise Grin
