After a bit of advice regarding our 12 month old lab and the problems we are having walking him.

Prob 1- He has started pulling constantly. Have tried gentle leader and failed, so now bought a lead that also has the nose bit. He is still attempting to pull. Always used his extending lead with no problem but cant now.

Prob 2- when off of the lead he point blank refuses to come back. We have used the treats on every successful recall and made a huge fuss of him but as soon as another dog or person comes along he is off and pretends he cant hear us.

We did the 8 week puppy training and he has been fantastic and well behaved and yet now all of a sudden he has turned into a serious pain in the bum when walking.

Its getting to the point when i dread the appearance of other dogsBlush

We havent changed anything we are doing but he is definately ignoring us on purpose.

I love to watch him run around, so we need to sort something quick.

I have left a message for the trainer to phone me but wondered if you had any suggestions on how to get the bugger to come back when called like he used to!

I should add that he only wants to play and is a soppy chap but other dog owners look quite wary when this huge bounding pup approaches them wanting to spread his loveGrin
