Ball Mad

My spaniel spends most of the day out in the garden.
My neighbour was out in his garden too and my dog must have posted his ball through the fence slats in the hope that my neighbour would throw it....

(When i say ball it is the remains of the large ball from a Wubba toy and is more like a slightly curved bit of plastic!)

my neighbour threw it for him (not a good idea to start this game!) and then went to his shed

My ball crazed loopy spaniel extremely well trained dog retrieved the ball jumped the fence and delivered the ball at next doors shed door!

I think my neighbour went and hid then!

My cavi is also ball mad and seems to think everyone else should join in. When we're out walking we'll constantly throw the ball then every so often he'll take it over to a random stranger and drop it at their feet then look between them and the ball until they throw it. If they don't he just picks it up and plonks it slightly closer to them and gives them a look of "well then?"

If we had a big enough garden we'd get him one of these

I want this
but it would just make home worse.

Imagine the fun though!

My Springer often follows other people on his walk if they throw his ball.

Once we were on the beach throwing his ball down to the sea and he got a bit disorientated and couldn't find us, so he just dropped his ball at the feet of a small bemused boy who was paddling!

*him not home, although it would make that worse too!

That's amazing!

Love how our dogs show where their priorities lie..."oh no - I've lost my family! But it's ok because I have now found someone else to throw my ball!"

One of our springers is ball obsessed. the other likes balls but given the choice would rather pick up a huge branch to carry.

I have to take balls with me on walks or else I lose the ball obsessed one to other people with balls.
