12 month staffie has a bad habit of chewing everything and diggin up the garden/eating stuff she shouldn't. This morning she has puked a little in her bed and let her out in garden where she was circling and straining repeatedly then scraping her bum on floor. When i wiped her bum its dark brown and watery. She is quiet and not her usual loony self, not interested in squeaky toy even. She is also not drinking. She was totally normal yesterday, tucked into full Sunday lunch leftovers and playing as usual.
Do I assume she has a dicky tummy (we have had tummy bug here last week not sure if Dogs can catch off people) and give her a day to see if she picks up, or should I assume she has eaten something dire/got something stuck and take her to vets pronto? I'm more worried that she is quiet and not drinking tbh.

I'd take her to the vet - especially as she's not drinking. Off food is one thing, off drink is another. Good luck.

If she isn't drinking I would take to vet. Especially if she is puking too. They can get dehydrated very quickly.

That's what I thought. Gums look a good colour and her skin isn't tenting at all, if she hasnt had a drink in next hour off she goes to vets.

Phew, she is fine, I took her to vets at 11am as she was looking uncomfortable and hunched up in her belly. She has antibiotics and Zantac? Anyhow, she is now much better and is now laying on her back in the basket four feet in the air dreaming, presumably about digging in the garden as the front feet are doing digging movements. She also forced down chicken and rice earlier so well on the mend. Bloody melodramatic staffies!
