Woke this morning to find my 7yo GSD had a swollen eyelid. Called vet and DH has taken her through.

I am thinking maybe allergic reaction or something? Anyone else's dog had similar symptoms?

Ah bloody grass seeds, She has had several ear infections because of these. Her ears no longer stand up because one infection got so bad her ears filled up with blood and flopped over.

She looks a proper sorry sight with her swollen eye and floppy ears.

(and sticky head due to DD petting her after eating a tunnocks teacake, Vet will probably call dog version of SS)

It was a bite!
Bloody neighbours collie went for her through the fence the other day, I did'nt realise it had made contact!

I feel terrible.

Not as yet but she has had an anti-biotic injection just in case and an anti-inflammitory injection and penicillin tablets sent home with her.

I just can't believe that I never noticed she'd been hurt, I feel so guilty. My poor pooch.

It was when neighbour was walking them, To be fair Tia started barking first and the collie lunged at her over the top of fence which is quite low.

We are moving next Friday, So I will strategically place the DC's climbing frame in front of the low bit of fence.

I feel like I should mention it to my neighbour but I don't want her to think I'm having a go at her.

It's just that if it were reversed, I would want to know.

But she is quite old my neighbour, Don't want to upset her, Will just keep quiet.
