Talking of pets called Pickle, I am currently looking like a gangster as my kitten (also called Pickle) freaked out when I gave her her medicine this morning, she ran up my face and now I have a 3 inch long scratch down my right cheek. I look like one of the baddies in the Untouchables.

DP carved and painted the match from a three foot plank. Quite why, I'm not sure, but he's convinced it will come in handy...

why? Why would he do that? It sounds like something my DP would do. The bricks on the house need repointing (DP is a brickie, I am not a slavedriver) - instead of doing that ("not enough time") he makes decorative shutters for the shed windows.
