Culver down is beautiful isn't it.. The IOW is lovely all over though :)

Dog shit is a real problem everywhere and it is amazing that all dog owners when asked say "I always pick up after my dog". As you say The evidence suggests thats a hell of a lot of people don't!

shoutymcshoutsmum · 15/02/2012 10:54

I too pick up after my dog. Is it possible that the type of person who doesn't pick up after their dog is not the type of person on Mumsnet?

I went to the North Downs yesterday walking my dog - surprised at the amount of litter left by humans !

Humans should be ashamed of themselves !

Avantia · 15/02/2012 10:59

MN's never shit and run - they poop and scoop Smile

minimuu · 15/02/2012 11:23

Surely MN's dogs don't poop at all - they are like royalty
so don't have a go at us Grin

Lizcat · 15/02/2012 12:47

Hmmm we go to Culver Down a lot, but in the off off season - Last there December very little dog poo then. IMO it is often visitors to the Island who see the Down as 'farm' land and therefore they don't need to clear up after their dog - often the dog is running around like a loon completely out of control and unseen by the owners. Could be a 'half term' factor. Me I scatter ready to use poo bags everywhere when I ever try to get anything out of my coat pockets.
