Can anyone recommend where to get a good dog tag?

Dog has managed to lose 2. Not sure how she's doing it. They were from Pets at Home. 2nd one I used a ring from a key ring because it looked stronger. Any suggestions?

Thank you 2 you both! Going to get another one from the machine in Pets at Home this morning just so she's got one for a few days while I wait for an Indigo Tag. Yes, yours were v cute dita, but same sort of fastening as the 2 she's lost. I'd love to know how she's doing it!

Can I hijack a little? We have a new pup and he will be able to go out soon so I need to get a tag - what information should I put on it? Someone told me not to put his name incase he is stolen??! Mobile number?

I originally had my land line and then realised that my mobile would be a lot more use as I would be out if I had lost the dog (dur moment)
mmine are both chipped as well, you are not supposed to put name on as it would make it easier for someone to steel, although my dogswould probably answer to any name you chose to call them anyway so dont think it would be a major risk increase.

I read 'Notreal Road' like 'Montreal' and thought it was dead exotic.

We started off with a Red Dingo tag but had to change it when we were told off at dog training for not having the right info on it. I had tried to find info online before ordering but had failed to find the official stuff, only people's opinions. The Red Dingo tags do not allow enough engraving for us, so we had to move to another one.

The law states that:
"every dog while in a highway or in a place of public resort shall wear a collar with the name and address of the owner inscribed on the collar or on a plate or badge attached to it." (There are exceptions for various working dogs. )

As far as the law goes, telephone numbers are optional but advisable. We have our land line number on ours, but I bought a cheap plastic one that takes paper inserts for use on holiday as an additional tag with holiday address and mobile number. I may replace that with a barrel type for holiday use this year.

Another vote for Indigo Collar tags. Tho Dita they are v sweet.

Mine also has dogs name on, I know you're not strictly supposed to but tbh he'd go to anyone who had a tennis ball or hotdog.

The Control of Dogs Order 1992 mandates that any dog in a public place must wear a collar with the name and address of the owner engraved or written on it, or engraved on a tag. Your postcode is optional

mine have second tags that say they are chipped and I just remembered cherrys says I am spayed. not that I am paranoid or anything. they must have enough on as passed several kc tests.
know what you mean about balls and hotdogs, lost eric to a lday with a football earlier and I had to follow her all the way round the park stalker style.

My male dog wears a 'dog tag' - like soldiers have, it is attached to collar on a ball bearing type chain. I changed the ring to a larger heavy duty ring on pupstars tag. Havent lost any tags since.

We got our dogs tag from pets at home, they machine engraved it while we waited.
I got our address including postcode, house phone number plus DH's mobile number.
