My Staffie is 13years old and now has a number of things wrong with her. Over the last day or two we have had to start giving her stool softener as she is constipated, she is also bloated and whining. Our vet warned us about this a couple of months ago and said if the stool softener doesn't work it may be time to put her down (he didn't say it in those words). While we are waiting to find out is there any over-the-counter short term pain relief we can give her? We hate seeing her suffer.
