Mange

My 10 month old terrier has mange around her eye. She had it two months ago in her left eye but I followed the vets advice and left it alone. Apart from minor hair loss it cleared up. Now she has it around her right eye and it seems worse. It's just skin and crusty red patches from where she scratches it. For the most part she leaves it alone but she does scratch two or three times a day.

Is there nothing I can do? Can I bathe it in plain water or help her in any way? Does it just look worse than it is?

Has your dog had a skin scrape?
If so is it demodectic or sarcoptic mange?

No she hasn't. The vet didn't even mention that, just not to touch or treat it, that it was common in puppies due to mites and that it would clear up.

Do I need to take her back? What is the difference and resulting treatment options?
