We bought a new puppy on New Years day, he was unfortunately dumped in the forest and abandoned. He is supposedly a lurcher and we think he is around 10/11 weeks old now, though obviously we don't know for sure.
We brought him home and our older dog (Border Collie x 2 years old) wasn't too sure off him at first but now they get along brilliantly. The only problem is that he bites and chews everything including myself, DP and our other dog.
We are saying 'ouch' loudly when he bites us and walking away or substiuting what ever he is chewing with one of his toys but he just follows us and carries on as if it is a game, the other dog is very soft with him and allows him to get away with chewing on him for quite a while.
I just wondered if there was any other action we could take to encourage him to stop this (our older dog is so well behaved, I suppose I have just forgotten what hard work puppies can be!). I know he is still very young but apart from this one issue he is an absolute joy to be around.
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.
