hi there, am the proud owner of a beautiful japanese akita female. also have 2 german shepherds, one male one female. thing is, im looking to take on another dog and the thought of another akita is in the back of my mind but i have been looking at various breeds. my husband takes more responsibility for our shepherds as far as walks go and im looking for another companion which my akita will go out for walks with aswell as obviously live with. even though ive never had any issues with my akita as far as aggression, i have been told a few times that housing 2 female akitas together would be blood shed and if i got a male akita, it would be blood shed between him and my male german shepherd. my husband has suggested a small breed inparticular a french bulldog (as theyre quite strong sturdy dogs) anyway basically i want anyones advice who has a male akita or has multiple akitas or anyone who has an akita with another maybe smaller breed???
