Could someone hold my hand please?

Our beautiful Lab is very ill after surgery for recurrence of tumour in her sinuses. All was going well but suddenly she is in unbearable pain. Have taken her back to the specialist centre where she had surgery so they can get her pain under control (got home early hours of this morning but was too upset to post). DH asleep so have no-one to hold hand. This may be a secondary in her jaw. Cant imagine life without her, we love her so much. Will know more later as they are going to scan her. Cant believe she might not come home.

Hello, just wanted to say I am thinking of you and your Lab. They are such daft, lovely, loving creatures and really make themselves the centre of the family. I hope the vets can help with her pain and that she is back home soon xxx

Thank you Elsa you are so right. I think if this is a tumour, then it might be right to let her go rather than bring her home. She is on so much pain relief now that we have to do whats best for her. DH stirred so had a sob on him

My sister had a fantastic Lab, he really was cartoonishly Labrador. Very loyal kind and loving.
She took him to the vet for investigations and he was xrayed. poor old boy was discovered to be riddled with tumours. Since he was anaeasthtised for the xrays, he wasn't woken up.
Very sad and you have my sympathy.

She is obviously a much loved lady and I'm sure she knows that. It's so hard isn't it but I am sure you will do the right thing; I guess you know when they are ready. I am still crossing my fingers that the scan comes back OK.
