first one is waiting a week after last lot of jabs before being aloud to walk. why is this? (puppy)
second one is how long should you walk them for to begin with? because some people say 5mins for every month they are old, and other say it doesn't matter it wont hurt the dogs joints, being over weight does!
i am only wondering about this, have got vets on wed if nobody replies.

thanks guys.

hi there,
congrats on the new puppy Smile

the one week aftert the last jab, is to allow the body to develop enough immunity to the diseases you are protecting him against. its not instant, to body needs to make new antibodies and this takes time. he can socalise with other vaccinacted dogs tho, just be careful where you take him (private garden or house is fine - public beach or park, not so good)

the walking thing is very much up for debate, and depends on what breed of puppy he is. the most important thing is not to overdo it, be guided by him and how much exercise he wants to do.

and yes, obesity as an adult dog will have much more impact on his joints then any walking you do as a puppy.

good luck x
