Fatty lumps in rear leg muscle

My lovely old collie cross (roughly around 15 years old but don't know as we got her from the pound 11 years ago) has fatty lumps and the one in her rear leg is right into the muscle and has lot much larger and harder in the last couple of months.

We are at the vets every 3 months with her as she is on Vivitonin to help with blood flow to her brain after a mini "stroke" and the vet said they wouldn't even consider operating due to her age and this lump has got much worse since our last visit.

It doesn't seem to be bothering her - still running around like a daft thing, however she does sometimes whimper when you touch it.

Should I be bracing myself that our old girl will be pts?

Didn't want this to go unanswered. I'm not a vet, so I don't know about the lump, but it sounds like she has a good quality of life. If she's still running around, that's a good sign. If she didn't have a good quality of life then I think there would come a point when you would know it was the time.

Good luck at your next vet visit. She sounds like a lovely and very much loved dog :)
