We have a flea problem

Fecking nits and now fleas! My 8 month old chihuahua has fleas. I bought some frontline stuff from the supermarket, washed his beds and sprayed them with that expensive spray from the vet (I have had it a few years though). Nothing has worked. I need to sort this because he has scratched himself sore in one place Sad. Is the frontline that you buy from the vet different (ie stronger) than the supermarket one? Should I just bin his beds and buy new ones? We don't have carpets so no panic about them.

My advice at this time of year treat the dog (vets have frontline combo supermarket regular frontline) wash all bedding at a minimum of 40 degrees. Hoover house then spray house with new can of spray either Indorex or Acclaim.
Frontline does take 24 to 48 hours to kill live fleas on the dog so you do need to be a bit patient with it.

Just got quotes off the vet for the frontline. £23 for the combo, £15 to see him and then any extra if he needs treatment on the sore bit.

Its a bit of a tricky impossible time of year to find that kind of money. Sad

Right, so we are borrowing money off ourselves, but he is going to the vet tomorrow.
