Well got Mylo 2 days ago-cocker spaniel pup. I am shattered.

Cried for 20 minutes in his cage when we went to bed. Then 3am when l got out to take him for a wee to find he had done both on his pad. Took him out then went back to bed. He woke us up crying every 2 hours therafter.
I didn't get up..
However the kids are knackered today away to school.
Luckily l am off work with him till Wednesday, mu husband works at home.
He cries if he can't see us even if we are in the kitchen.

Any ideas----no l am NOT sending him back. He is lovely really and good fun.

Has he got something that smells of his mum? That might help him settle at night. When we got our puppy a few years ago, his mums owner asked us for a blanket for him a couple of days before we took him home. She put it in with him, his brother and sister, and mum. It smelt well doggy when we got it back with him, but he cosied up to it and settled really easily.

He's missing his mum and his siblings, but don't worry, he WILL settle. I had the same problem, and mine settled after a few days. You are doing the right thing by not rushing to him in a panic every time he cries. Just be kind, and make sure he is taken out for a wee very very regularly during the day so you can be sure he isn't crying because he is uncomfortable.
