Warts on a dog's face: can they sometimes be pink? When usually they're black?

Ddog seems prone to growing warts on his face. The vet normally says it's just a wart, leave it, it'll go in time.

This time it certainly looks the same, but is very pale pink/flesh colour. I imagine this may be because of pigmentation - he is brown and black brindle.

Anyone else got warty-faced dogs???

Are the warts on the underside of the muzzle and are any of the water/feed bowls made of plastic?

One of my dogs seems to be "allergic" to plastic and if I use a plastic water/feeding bowl or give her a yoghurt pot to lick out, she comes up with pink warts under her chin. They go quickly enough though without treatment provided I resist the huge brown eyes and don't give her a pot to clean.

Very interesting, haddock.

He plays with flowerpots; but I wouldn't say there's a correlation.

Reassuring to hear that yours get pink warts! I'm just putting castor oil on ddog's - that usually gets rid of the black ones.
