Watchdog......

My dog loves to get onto the window ledge to bark his head off watch passers by.

A. This is annoying (and loud).
B. He is going to rip my vertical blind to pieces and possibly hurt himself. He gets tangled in the chain attached to the weights at the bottom which is ok when he has the sense to back up. However, the other day he did this just as the postman came, jumped down to bark at the door and got the fecking thing wrapped rather tightly around his middle. He's never left unsupervised out of his crate so it couldn't happen if I was out luckily.

I can't move the furniture due to layout of the room, something has to go under the window. Don't really want to change the blind as its the best bit of privacy i've had in ten years of having nosy interested neighbours.

Is there anything he wont like the smell of maybe that I could spray on there or any other ideas?
