Moving Puppy to Adult Dog Food

Ive posted before about our springer spaniel puppy who was a little skinny when on Burns Mini Bites despite feeding her more than the recommended allowance.

We moved her on to Burns High Energy Lamb which is a food for either underweight dogs or large breed puppies. She has done really well on it and is no longer like a bag of bones.

So now she is coming up for 8 months and we are nearing the end of the bag of food - what shall I move her on to? Burns Active? Burns Alert? Burns Normal?

I started my dogs on burns mini bites, and found that they they needed much much more than the recommended amount. I think the manufacturers should adjust their feeding guidelines, as I've heard the same from others.

Mine are now on burns active, but they are very very active border collies that live out during the day. They burn a lot of energy! Again, I ignore the feeding guidelines and feed them what they require. This varies throughout the year e.g. in winter they might need 50+% extra.

If she is a house dog I think she will do fine on Burns normal, but she might still need a puppy sized diet if she is still growing. Someone on here will be able to advise properly wrt that.
