Bones

We've discussed this before. Can I really just get raw bones from the butcher? Are these better than commercial raw hide etc? How often could I give them and do they make a hideous mess? Have a toddler so don't want bits of raw meat hanging around.

You can get bones from the butcher. We try to keep them out of the house unless we want to find the remains in our bedHmm They are very good for cleaning dogs' teeth. A big knuckle is less likely to splinter than something smaller, and the bone marrow is yummy if you're a dog!

Your dogs bones wont have bits of raw meat on them for long. Get a bone from the butchers put dog and bone in garden. You will have a smooth spotlessly clean bone in no time - no mess at all.

I do remove the dogs bones and do not leave them lying around and then give them back another day.

Thanks, good point about the meat not hanging around long! I'm sure it won't.
