Wow. Nearly everyone I know has seen that video and wept. Was it harder to train him to get it wrong, than to get it right?? Grin

Cedmonds that is awesome! Did Will Young do that or was someone else giving puppy the cues? Fab ...

artyjools · 28/11/2011 09:44

Made me well up too. What a great start to the day!

misdee · 28/11/2011 11:00

ah, sweet.

SoupDragon · 28/11/2011 11:05

I want a dancing dog!

multipoodles · 28/11/2011 11:16

I want Will Young.. oh and the big standard poodle :-)

SoupDragon · 28/11/2011 12:11

The poodle is the funniest thing i have seen in ages. Especially doing that weave thing with those pompoms on its feet :o

why would you do that to a dog??

Pascha · 28/11/2011 12:13

I love this video. It makes me cry a bit and smile at the end. Plus my son thinks the dancing bit at the end is hilarious.

minimuu · 28/11/2011 12:25

cedmonds which one is your dog? Do you own Forest Sprite Psyche?

yesbutnobut · 28/11/2011 12:30

I love the poodle with pom poms, he is so cool!

SoupDragon · 28/11/2011 12:33

I"m guessing it's the puppy with the little boy?

cedmonds · 28/11/2011 14:35

Sorry didnt make it clear ours is the puppy with the little boy.

yesbutnobut It was will young telling the dog but it is a very well trainned and has done lots of tv programmes etc look up mary ray dancing dogs.

What a great puppy!

I know the agility dogs so it is nice to say I sort of know the "pup"

Levi is Mary Rays but her Mum is Psyche so when you said you bred I thought you owned her (don't mind me having a bit of a moment- seems to be happening more often now though!).

Great video though (if a bit smulchy!)

cedmonds · 28/11/2011 16:44

Where abouts are you minimuu? I have got a 11 month pup which i want my son to do agility with but as we only show ours i dont know of any good local clubs. I know she has got to be over a year etc. She has done little bits at home with him (weaving going though tunnels) and loves it so does he. It is alot more fun for him then showingGrin

minimuu · 28/11/2011 17:08

Look on agility net link here. Click on the go here to enter and then and go to the clubs page link near the top left of page - there are a lot of clubs listed there by area.

Many dogs do start foundation agility earlier than a year so worth looking for a club that does that, so lots of nose targeting, running through wings and tunnels, learning directional commands, running over flat aframes and dog walks etc. No jumping over poles

I wouldn't weave a dog until at least 16 months old.

I am in the south east so if I can help just yell.

SoupDragon · 28/11/2011 17:30

What are my chances of getting Dill to dance if I work on him tomorrow? Given that I can't train him to come back... :o

cedmonds · 28/11/2011 17:40

Thanks minimuu were are in surrey. I will have a look on the link. How old does the handler have to be? Ds is 5 so i know what be able to compete etc but has done junior handeling for showing and has grown up around the dogs. I was also thinking possably about doing fly ball with her. But a friend said that it can make them hyper.?

minimuu · 28/11/2011 18:28

He is younger than some but start em young!

Are you anywhere near Merrist Wood in Guildford or Chobham if so MAD are great (Millbrook Agility Dogs). Very supportive and winter leagues etc load of choices of classes. MAD Link

CC agility near Elstead Surrey again great a smaller club but good tuition

Scrambles Walton on Thames again an active club with great trainers

Pachesham Agility although they train later in the evenings may be too late for a little one

cedmonds · 28/11/2011 20:08

pachesham is about 10 mins from us so merrist wood is not to far.Do you know of mid downs?
