It's started, today I've woken to see the first hedgehog of winter sitting in the middle of a dog bed, and as per usual it's underweight and not very healthy looking, unfurls itself unless you hold it on its back and has quite crackly breathing :( time to find the number of the local hog lady! Why on earth do they always choose our back garden and how on earth do they get in - we have secure fencing all ways round!!

no idea how they get in, but we get them living under our sheds at the bottom of the garden. I rarely see them but the dogs always sniff them out and then woof at the poor things.

We also have high, secure fences. Maybe we have ninja hedghogs.

Little hedgehog is off to the vets soon, and the lady is picking him up from there :) He's done a nice healthy looking poo and wandered around his carrier so those are good signs.
