My beautiful Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier is 12.5. She's developed a breathing problem. Short version is that she's got a tumour in her nasal passage / throat. Our vet too X-rays and had a look but couldn't remove due to position of lump. She's been referred to specialist.
She got worse over weekend, nearly choking on Sat night.
Admitted by specialist today. I thought they'd say "yep, will remove lump tomorrow".. But instead are doing CT scan in head & down to lungs. Will take biopsy. Once results are known it'll either be chemo or remove lump (if able).
Shit, I can't believe my, otherwise healthy & happy, darling girl might actually die. It's horrendous. She's still happy, eating (but having to munch up more) and drinking, yet this proxy lump, even if not cancer, might be the end of her.
I can't stop crying. I'm not ready to lose her.
Apart from the choking / snorting she's ok. Her throat is sore as she can't breathe through nose :(
Anyone had a similar lump in a dog? My heart is breaking and my home feels empty without her.
