How often should dogs pee???

I know this is a bizarre question but I am worried my dog may make herself poorly by not peeing enough.

For example today I worked from home all day so could monitor what is going on. She didn't go outside until 12.30 from about 10pm the previous evening. I had opened the door for her at breakfast time and again mid morning. At 12.30 I had to force her into the garden and keep my eye on her until she had done otherwise she was wanting to come back inside.
She is the same at bedtime, one of us has to stand out in the garden with her until she goes otherwise she will come back inside without doing anything. She doesn't seem bothered if she goes to bed without doing anything and very occasionally will wake us up if she does need to go out.

She is getting older, she is 8 and her sight is bad but I am not sure if she is scared as she knows the garden, as she knows the house, and doesn't have any issue getting around her familiar surroundings.

Is it worth a trip to the vets?

My dog can go without peeing for 24 hours.

She hates going outside when its been raining so just wont go out for a pee.

It used to worry me but now it just makes me Envy.

Thanks for getting back to me, I was just been a bit overly concerned. 24 hours you say fundus, so she has got a bit to go yet then! I will mention it to vet next time I get her jabs done.

I was starting to think my dog was holding her wee for a long time too as she can wee around 8 pm, refuse to go again when I chuck her in the garden at bedtime and then wait until her walk until she goes again at 8 or 9 am. Obviously normal then!
