Frivolous question: do big paws really mean big adults?

People keep commenting on Mouse's big paws and saying he will be huge - but he's already nearly 7 months, and only medium sized. The foster carer he came from didn't think he'd get as big as a lab, and he's a skinny, long-legged mutt Smile

I suppose I'm still intrigued re breed mix in there, and looking for clues!

No i dont think is does Elibean, my lab had massive paws as a pup, the looks like huge bats on the end of his leg Grin. He has now at 12 mths grown into them and he is not by any means massive, he's a small slender working lab.

Yes and No!

GSD2 is a good deal bigger than GSD1! GSD1 had huge satellite dish ears and enormous feet, and is HUGE, but GSD2 was a dainty dot as a pup and has ended up even taller!

My thing is to look at their tails...they haven't stopped growing if the tail still reaches the floor is my theory! :D

Our dog has big paws for her size - she's a GSD X Collie (we think!) but only large collie sized. And she's 2 so won't be "growing into them". I think they're cute. Grin

Gawd, I hope not. Jasper has humungous front paws. Strangely, his back paws are only half the size

Phew Smile

Thank you.
