Yesterday, as a result of Mumbling's Staffie thread, I linked to the website of Pro Dogs Direct. When I did so I noticed two pairs of young Poodles up for adoption - they caught my eye as my best pal is seeking to adopt one (or two if I can persuade him!).
Time moved on, I thought nothing of it until last night when I got an email from a trainer who works closely with the rescue I help at. He has a contact - and I know that he wouldn't forward them unless they were decent potential owners - who is looking for a Poodle.
So, I told him of the 2 pairs at Pro Dogs, who are ideally to be rehomed in pairs or if not at least with an existing dog. Pete has just come back to me tonight... the contact has contacted Pro Dogs as a result of my suggestion and seem to want two of the Poodles.
So, fingers crossed, that's another two dogs with a loving home to go to. And all by sheer luck!
