Have just read this article in the DM (I know, I know!) about this lovely beagle cross called Daniel who survived the gas chamber they use in the pound there.
What saddened me most (apart from the gas chambers obviously
) was the comment that they'd received about 100 applications to rehome him, and that half of these people then said they weren't interested in rehoming another dog if Daniel was no longer available. 
Surely if they've got a good home to offer this dog, they would consider giving another dog a chance if he had already been rehomed? What difference does it make? I don't understand...
