Please help, dog collapsed

Boo my Beagle is about 10 (not sure of exact age as she is a rescue dog), starting coughing and then collapsed and wet herself, she managed to get to our bedroom and got under the bed. My husband went under to have a look and she started wagging her tail. She's now come out and seems fine, but obviously we are really worried, she's been slowing down recently and sometimes struggles to get about.

We would usually find an emergency vets, but I only came out of hospital this afternoon after a serious illness and am still on heavy medication and can't leave my bed, so my husband is completely torn as to what to do tonight if anything (we have a young child).

Can anyone give any advice or reassurance please, thanks.

So sorry. I really think she needs to see a vet if at all possible.

maybe a fit??
just thinking of her wetting at the same time as collapsing
sorry don't know
if she's ok now then I would wait until the morning to call a vet first thing
hope she's ok

Your DH could probably ring and speak to the emergency vet for advice, and make a decision based on what they say.

Agree with others, call the Vets for advice, they wont ask you to take her in unless they think its necessary.

If they want to see her, would you be able to get a relative/friend/neighbour to come an sit in with you and your DC?

Thank you for responding, my husband has spoken to the vet, he said that as she's ok and drinking water to bring her in in the morning and he'll start some tests, luckily we saw him just over a week ago as we've been worried about her back legs, and he took some bloods then.

My poor husband both his girls collapsing this week, he looks grey!

Glad she can go in the morning instead of now. Good luck at the vets - and I hope you feel better soon too. It sounds like it's been a rough week!
