First puppy question! Puppy only pooed once today - is that normal?

I realise this is only my second post about our new puppy and both have been toilet related?! But... We picked up our 8wk old SBT yesterday and she doesn't seem to pee or poo anywhere near as much as I thought she would?

Yesterday from when we got her home at lunchtime she pooed once and peed about six times. She didn't pee or poo at all, all night last night, slept next to our bed and didn't really cry much or anything?

Today she did a really big poo this morning and since then has peed about every three hours?

She seems to be drinking plenty and she's on a wet food diet (I know, but it was what she was on when we got her and I don't want to change too much just yet) which she has a good go at each time I put it down for her?

I know this might sound very silly but as she's our first puppy I wasn't sure what to expect and figured I would be cleaning up after her all day. Do you think she could be holding it in? Am I doing something wrong?!

Thanks if you've managed to actually read this! Grin

I found it took my puppy a couple of days to settle in and then the weeing and pooing commenced!
I'd say just enjoy the no cleaning up while it lasts as it could all change. On the other hand, you might have just been very lucky and got a pup that is already toilet trained.

No I definitely do not think I'm lucky enough to get one thats already toilet trained! But thanks thats good to know....I was kind of ready for all the peeing and pooing so was worrying something was wrong. I'm happy to do the clearing up if it means all is well!!
