need to get a coat for my dog for the winter as have been told by the rescue that she came from that she doesnt like the cold. i have no idea how to measure, or where to get it from. i want it to be warm, easily washable (because she moults like a bugger). i dont want to spend a fortune, and i dont want frilly fancy stuff, just a nice, handsome and practical coat. can anyone help please?

There are some measuring instructions here

Our dog has a lovely quilted dog coat that is warm and showerproof. You can see her in it in the snow on my profile. It was given to us by my parents and belonged to one of their old dogs (so has lasted years) but there is one very similar here. Ours is reversible, Navy on the other side. I always take her out in the red, DH always in the Navy. Grin

my dogs all like the equafleece coats (in the link above). they are a great UK company and will happily talk you through measuring on the phone as well. the fleece is good quality and we have never had an occasion where the rain has soaked through to the dog. they can be put in the washing machine as well

you could always take dog to a pet shop and try some on on as well. my dogs always managed to wriggle out of theirs before we found equafleece by running into the bushes and somehow coming out without coat Grin . we've got the equafleece polo necks and none of them have managed to get out of them. the oldie will wear hers in the house if its particularly cold and she doesnt even give me 'the look' when i put it on her
