I treated my dog last week. Only with Bob Martin stuff cos we aren't very flush this month. And since I did it she now has fleas!! I am being bitten to sh*t, she is not very happy (obviously) but luckily I seem to be the only nice tasting one in the house
Is it a case of spending more money tomorrow on more expensive stuff??
Is it usual for this to happen?

You need to blitz the whole house. And imho using something like BM you may as well not have bothered.

Get advocate or frontline for dogs from vets or online from petmeds or similar. That will kill old fleas, eggs and frontline keeps away ticks too.

It is a case of you get what you pay with flea stuff. Don't forget to treat the house if you are being bitten.
