barking mad labradoodle

We have two lovely labradoodles. 6year old black female and four year old brown male. Both lovely natured dogs . However the boy Oz is driving us all nute with his barking. Mostly a problem in the car. He barks from start to finish and literally trembles with excitement . At the end of the journey (mainly the moors for a walk but also on returning home) he tries to flee madly out the car like some mad scary barking banshee, totally out of control. Meanwhile the other one sits peacefully if a little deafened by the bonkers dog beside her. Short of a muzzle ,any ideas ?

I saw an episode of it's me or the dog and this was the problem, Victoria recommended blocking dogs view so he couldn't see out, it did work.

I had a sheltie years back that did this, had to crate her in the car and cover crate over, It did work, and she calmed right down.
