I put an order in for Fish4Dogs a week ago. it's only just 5 mins ago arrived, but that's by the by, they DO say delivery can take up to 7 days...
Anyway, I ordered 3 15kg sacks of puppy large bite so I could benefit from the "15% off if you spend over £100" deal as advertised. Yes I know that the boys aren't puppies but pup food is good for keeping weight on a lean GSD and this is by far the cheaper way of doing it. Or so I thought.
Three sacks of Puppy kibble at £62.50 each = £187.50
Less the 15% bulk purchase discount and my Puppy Club member discount - brings it down to a far more affordable £98.94
All well and good.
Today I get an email saying, "We recently emailed you tell you that from today, Tuesday 16th August 2011, we're making some changes to the Fish4Dogs Puppy Club pricing.
As a valued Puppy Club member, we'd like to offer you greater discounts on our food than we can offer new members.
To get this new special loyalty discount, please use the following code at the checkout INSTEAD of your existing PCXXX code: PCYYY"
This "valued" customer wanted to find out how much my next order will drop to with the new, "greater discounts" so I entered into the website the same 3 x 15kg sacks of food, plus 15% discount, plus my "new special loyalty discount" code and looked forward to seeing how much today's bill of £98.94 would be lowered by.
Huh!
Next time - if I buy from Fish4Dogs a next time - my bill for the same 3 sacks of food will be £124.95

I'm tempted to email Fish4Dogs and ask where these greater discounts are.
More worryingly still, if their prices have risen across the board I dread to think of how it's going to affect Poplar Farm Kennels, who use Fish4Dogs for many of their special needs dogs including the dozen or so who are epileptic. :(
Or is it my maths and I've got it all wrong? Am I missing something?
