Today whist out for a walk...a dog owner was yelling for her dog in the park. At speed a Jack Russell called....Shackleton...comes flying out of some bushes.

Big name, small dog! IMO Brilliant

We used to know two (portly) black labs called Norman and Marjorie, suited them very well.
Our ridgeback is called Ruby.
On my list for future dogs are Ouzo and Raki.

A Hungarian vizsla called Simon
A chihuahua called Colin
An EBT called Stanley.

Friends of friends who live in California have 2 Great Danes called scooby do and scooby don't - apparently.

My mother had an Italian spinone called Rodger.

And friends had a GWP called rupert.

We used to have a Cairn called Angus McCoatup

And a Saluki called Mustapha Shufti.

Biscuit would work very well in my experience. As would Treat.

My next whippet will be called Twiggy (perfect for a thin dog).
My poodle was called Twink (after a home perm, lots of curls)
and I have another Molly the Collie too.

I am getting a new puppy and am thinking of naming him Wilbur the woof or Eddie the woof, what do you think?

Our lab is Rosco but answers to Rascal & our french bulldog is called piggy !

Love old people names for dogs, tried to persuade my parents (unsuccessfully) to name their dog Barbara...

The author Jilly Cooper had a dog called Barbara....and 2 more Fortnum & Mason....

I met a dog called d-o-g. prounounced "dee-ooh-gee".

My childhood dog (best dog in the world, obv) was called Trouble. My dad named her when it became obvious she was going to be a bit of a pain.
My cat is PicklePig, all cats names should be suffixed with Pig I think, I've had MuppetPig, BluePig and GuinnessPig too. (Full name, GuinnessPig Miaow Miaow Miaow)
I would love a dog, a pug to be precise. Or a Chug. That dog will be called Elvis.

I know a couple of springer spaniels called Ralph and Stanley , and a Jack Russell called Brian.

I called my mini Jack Russell x Pug...

we over ruled daddy when we bought our pup so he got to choose the name......Francisco Scaramanger........Franc for short!
We also had a Jeremy (Beagle)

forgot to say he is a sausage dog so Franc works well.....we may get another and call him Furter
