Today whist out for a walk...a dog owner was yelling for her dog in the park. At speed a Jack Russell called....Shackleton...comes flying out of some bushes.

Big name, small dog! IMO Brilliant

I laughed at Phydough. I once knew a Phideaux. And a solid black dog named Spot.

my friend has two dogs called Eric & Ernie & a cat called Shirley

Dog called Benson. Cat in the same house called Hedges.

We went camping a few years back in in tent residing next to us was a very large Irish Wolfhound named Heathcliff - I kid you not. How he even got in the tent let alone slept in it with two others kept us perplexed the whole weekend.
He was adorable......

I knew a Westie called Ralph. I always wanted to have two dogs called Ralph and Dave.

Know someone with a Labrador called Margot. Gorgeous.

Viva- no, we went with a more obscure name- you'd have to be a Bond-fanatic to know it

Our little westie is called MacIntosh, ( PG Wodehouse fans will recognise)
My friend's cat is called Graham
I walk a naughty little Jack Russell called Sylvia

I knew two Rottweilers called Tina and turner.
I have an irish setter called Barney, my 3 yr old named him.
Our cat is called Harry Callahan, he is very dirty.

My friend has a Yorkie called Norris, she also has a Wendy!!

Threads like this are timeless.

I have a cat called Sebastian, the name really suits him. When we get a male dog I want to name him Finnigan - Finn for short!

My next dog will be Moriarty. Perfect for a terrier I think.

I had a gerbil called Mouse (used to say to the cat "where's the mouse"). A rabbit called Rolf (after Rolf Harris) and rats Lavender and Lilac, Pipkin, Marmite and Tiptoe and my cats are Barnaby and Troy after Midsomer Murders.

And Gwen if its a girl.

I would love two Alsatians, or maybe Dobermanns called Val Jean and Javert. Failing that, I could rename my mum and my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel girls Cosette and Éponine.

I had a brown Newfoundland called Bear. She honestly looked like one too. Best friend ever.

My next newf will be a boy and I shall call him 'Hallowed'. Just because I want someone to ask what he's called and I want to answer in my most solemn voice 'Hallowed be his name'. This amuses me greatly.

Had to do a double take when I heard someone shouting of their dog on the beach. It was called... Dipstick!

I have posted this before but one day I WILL own a Clumber spaniel and I shall call it "Q"
I used to have a cat called Kevin and harbour designs to call my next spaniels Sprocket and Flange (the next dog is "mine" so will be called Sprocket, leaving DH with Flange- annoyingly he has vetoed this
