My puppy has been bitten

Also a WWYD. DH's friend has a huge GSD (usually super gentle). He has bitten my 12 week old collie pup today. I am so cross with the dogs owner - he was left roaming off his lead even after it happened, the dog wasn't even bollocked.

We have been to the vet. He looks so swollen and miserable, I have put pics on my profile. The thing that really pisses me off, is that the same bloke allowed our other dog to be bitten recently - there is another GSD locally who doesn't like her for some reason so they are kept apart - he let them both out together and that was 3-4 trips to vet/dressing/collar/ABs etc.

I don't like DH's friend anyway, nowt specific, just that he is a knob. But I want his bollocks for earrings right now.

What the feck was your DHs friend doing letting YOUR dog out near the Shep who doesn't like her? Bloody idiot! You're right... he IS a knob!

Poor wee puppy, she looks adorable. It's a hard call on that one, isn't it, insofar as the other Shep is usually super gentle in your experience. GSD1 here is also super gentle so like the twit I wouldn't have thought exceptional caution necessary when he's with a puppy but I'd be mortified if I was mistaken and he hurt one. AND I'd be sooo apologetic, bollocking GSD1, bollocking myself, checking that pup was ok tonight and paying your vets bills whilst making sure GSD was on lead near other dogs in future.

Funny how I was just saying to a pal today about people you just "have a feeling about" and dislike though there's nowt specific... and how sadly those feelings are often later proven to be spot on.

I hope pup recovers very soon (and would be refusing to have twunt in my house again personally!).

Puppy is a he, and he is such a handsome devil - looks like a boxer with a broken nose ATM. Small lac to tongue, puncture wound inside lower lip all swollen, bled from one nostril and swelling/cut to bridge of his nose, poor bugger.

Was really lucky, my vet squeezed us in at the end of surgery today. We are going back tomorrow for another check up. He is eating and drinking but very subdued I had a look at the Many Tears website because of you yesterday, wished I had room for another - our other dog is a lovely rescue Patterdale X.

Poor little soul. I bet he's being terribly spoiled to help him recover. Sending hugs his way from us lot here.

He is looking much better today Swelling going down nicely and he has nearly finished the antibiotics. Not seen the bellend who the GSD belongs to since, yet!
