Ooooh greyhound envy

One of my DSs friends announced he was getting a greyhound.

I am very jealous.( A dog is not on the agenda for me as I'm at work 3 days and my DD is scared of dogs)

Might be forced to adopt aforementioned friend but only if the hound is part of the deal.Might consider DD as part-exchange.

On a serious note though I might have a friendly laid back grey on tap to aclimatise DD to............

ahhh.... LOTF. I was terrified of all dogs tbh... before having an 8 week old mini-beast (not grey, but I love greys/lurchers) foisted upon me and I realised that I just didn't understand dogs previously.

I know it is stepping a foot into the future, but you work 3 days... and may be able to help your friend out for maybe a walk, 1/2 a day and maybe even a full day with some doggy daycare from time to time which would help your DD acclimatise (understand) dogs if your friend's is chilled out and lovely

I'm so pleased these lovely dogs are being recognised for their beautiful qualities. We get so many nice comments from people when we take ours out and if you're scared of dogs I think it's good to see one interracting with other dogs/children really quietly.

There's an organisation called Greyhound Walks which arranges meet-ups for greys at weekends, you can always tag along and the owners will even give you a test drive/walk if you like!

My DS would love a Greyhound Walk because he's a complete doggy-magnet. They love him, he loves them.
He is like a greyhound in human form- eats, sleeps, bombs about,can reach the sweets that I think I've put out of reach. Sinewy bony and ridiculously handsome. Selectively deaf but can hear a biscuit tin through 3 doors.
